Apparently the "window size" in Hyperterminal is only one packet. Since the two Kermits negotiate and drop back to the lower value as necessary, C-Kermit on the ISP host is lobotomized even though it could do much better. Is there any way I can tell Hyperterminal not to be so darned conservative?

What I did is copy my old machine's Window 95 version of Hyperterminal to the new machine, chose my new modem, and ... everything works. Looks like the version of Hyperterminal shipped with XP has a bug. Another solution reported was to use old terminal.exe from Window 3.1.1. or Hyperterminal 6.1.

I am trying to automate hyperterminal to page me when one of our servers, routers, and csu/dsu's goes down using .SendKeys method. I can get hyperterminal started, but it appears that the .SendKeys method is executing before hyperterminal opens. Is there a way to have the script wait until hyperterminal opens
